It says that if anyone is “in Christ”, he or she is regarded as a new creation. “The old has gone and new has come” explains the significance behind declaring our faith in the Name of Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17). Romans 6:3-4 “Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life”. It acts as one of the earliest foundations of our Christian faith. Therefore, we live a life without the weight of our sins. But, at the same time, we also acknowledge that Jesus paid the price. Baptism allows us to start from zero, to proclaim that we were sinners. It means that we accept the death of Jesus as our starting point to forgiveness and a new life. In Romans 6:3-4, it is said that if we get baptized, we get baptized into His Death too. We identify ourselves as God’s children saved by Jesus’ Sacrifice. ![]() Why do we get baptized in the first place? See, after being baptized, we declare our lives with Jesus.
